Singlife joins the Sumitomo Life family. Leading homegrown financial services company, Singapore Life Holdings Pte Ltd (“Singlife”), is pleased to announce that it has become a fully owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Life Insurance Company (“Sumitomo Life”).
Singlife bought by Sumitomo Life
Sumitomo Life, which had first invested in Singlife in 2019, sees Singapore as a key part of its Southeast Asia strategy and expects the deal to strengthen the earnings of its international business portfolio.
Sumitomo Life has completed all the process to close the acquisition announced on December 22, 2023*1, including share purchases from all the remaining shareholders and approval by the regulators in Japan and Singapore.
