The Ride (sometimes styled as The RIDE) is the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's ADA paratransit program for people with physical, mental or cognitive disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to ride the MBTA's fixed-route bus, subway, and trolley system. The Ride provides door-to-door service, from vehicle to door.
The RIDE is a first-come, first-serve service with no restrictions on trip purpose. RIDE vehicles are equipped to carry both ambulatory persons and wheelchair users. RIDE drivers can help a passenger up or down from curbside to the vehicle and/or up or down one additional step. An escort or PCA can accompany passengers on The RIDE.

Call 844-427-7433 to schedule rides OR reserve online at mbta.com/trac. (Login with your RIDE ID# and your password is your date of birth using MMDDYYY format.) Reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance. The RIDE will call the evening before your trip to confirm if they are able to fulfill the request.
