Don Barnes was the singer for Southern rock band .38 Special, taking the lead on the group's major 1980s hits "Rockin' into the Night," "Hold on Loosely," "Caught Up in You," and "If I'd Been the One."He left the band in 1987, just as the group's hot streak appeared to be coming to an end, but he came back into the fold in 1992 and continued to record and tour with the band into the 21st century.
