The Orange County Clerk’s Office is providing a free new tool to help property owners protect one of their most valuable assets. With Fraud Alert, you can sign up to receive alerts whenever a document, such as a deed or a mortgage, is recorded under your name.

It is part of the County’s commitment to provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to real property information via the Internet. This system allows the user to search for a property by Owner Name, Address, Tax Map number, or Municipality.

The Orange County Department of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of Civil Service Law as it pertains to Departments of County Government including its Towns, Villages, School Districts, Public Libraries and other Special Districts.

This office is responsible for apportioning the County Tax rates, as well as processing all tax bills and correcting tax bill errors in accordance with Real Property Tax Law. The Real Property office also valuates and inspects all delinquent tax properties.
