This weekend sees the latest in a new generation of “Universal Monster” movies with Wolf Man. Director Leigh Whannell previously struck gold with his adaptation of The Invisible Man and while his new film isn’t receiving quite the response from critics, it’s still poised to be a solid hit, thanks to a less than blockbuster budget.

The early reviews of Universal Pictures’ horror movie Wolf Man are out along with the first Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores. Based on these reviews, critics seem to be divided over this new reboot of the classic Universal Monsters movie The Wolf Man.

Director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man, the latest horror feature from Universal and Blumhouse, has already made $1.4 million in Thursday previews. The movie officially made its theatrical debut on Jan. 17 and,
