Wisconsin’s attorney general has asked the liberal-controlled state Supreme Court to stop billionaire Elon Musk from handing over $1 million checks to two voters.

The court declined to quickly intervene before a Musk event Sunday at which he plans to give out two $1 million checks.

Campaign spending has smashed records in Wisconsin’s high-stakes Supreme Court race, as megadonors from both parties are directing millions to the closely watched election that’s set to decide ideological control of the battleground state’s high court.
