The Hunger Games' meets a not-so-leisurely stroll in Francis Lawrence's adaption of a cult favorite King novel.

The Oscar winner will work with creative partner Marshall Herskovitz on an adaptation of the 2009 novel that previously had names such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Craig attached.

Lifetime is cutting back its unscripted programming division, a decision that resulted in layoffs on Wednesday.
