At the end of a week when President Donald Trump sent Marines and the California National Guard to Los Angeles to quell protests, Americans across the country turned out in huge numbers to protest Trump's attempts to expand his power.

Demonstrators gathered at Civic League Park in San Angelo as part of nationwide "No Kings" protests on Saturday.

During a 'No Kings' protest yesterday, rallying against Donald Trump, one sign took a brutal dig at the president's performance in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The sign read, "You sucked in Home Alone 2,

President Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday," No Kings organizers wrote. "A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington.

While the president contends that the L.A. protests against his immigration policy have been chaotic, the scenes are not as violent.

As a military parade rolls through Washington, DC, on Saturday – President Donald Trump’s birthday – millions of Americans are expected to protest in what organizers predict will be the strongest display of opposition to Trump’s administration since he took office in January.

"No Kings" protests against the Trump administration took place Saturday in and around New York City as part of nationwide demonstrations. Fifth Avenue was closed to traffic from 42nd Street to 23rd Street in Manhattan as protesters marched from Bryant Park.
