Week 1 of the preseason has come and gone, and it was a doozy. We enjoyed back-to-back triple headers on Thursday and Friday before the bulk of the slate unfolded throughout Saturday, and it concluded with two contests on Sunday.

The Bills are a much better team than the Giants, and while much of that is the star quarterback and difference makers on both sides of the ball, there’s another reason that becomes apparent quickly during preseason football. Good teams usually have better depth throughout their roster, giving them an advantage when it becomes backups vs. backups.

It’s possible the Jets could try to acquire or sign a veteran for insurance. Martinez has performed better than Cook lately and in the Green Bay game. Martinez knows the system from being in the Lions training camp last season.
