The immigration worksite raids in June and the smaller number of street-level stops in the following weeks have not brought Los Angeles to a standstill. But it is a city diminished.

Organizations are asking people to participate in a 24-hour boycott, to attend rallies in MacArthur Park and downtown LA and support local businesses and street vendors.

SEIU 721 and other labor groups rallied in MacArthur Park and elsewhere in Los Angeles throughout the day on Tuesday.
