Shares of Lennar Corp. rose in premarket trading Tuesday, a day after the homebuilder posted a mixed second-quarter report, with revenue topping analysts' expectations but profit, new orders, and average sale price falling short.

Home sales revenues fell 7% to $7.8 billion, driven primarily by a decrease in the average sales price of homes delivered due to continued weak housing market trends, Lennar said.

Lennar's second-quarter revenue beat Wall Street estimates on Monday, as its incentives for home buyers lifted sales.

The shares at on track for their best day since April, but are still struggling with overhead pressure at the $115 level despite pacing for their third gain in the last four sessions. LEN carries a 13.4% year-to-date deficit, shed 24.6% in the last 12 months, and isn't too far off its April 9, 52-week low of $98.42.

Lennar stock was falling on Monday after the builder reported second quarter earnings that missed expectations. Lennar, one of the nation’s largest home builders, said it earned $1.81 a diluted share,
