Jake Gyllenhaal has been announced as the lead in a new romance movie from The Notebook author and the director of Old.

Netflix has announced that Southpaw, the 2015 boxing film starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Laurence Fishburne, will leave the platform on February 20.

The new movie also has a romantic element and is based on an original story created by Shyamalan and romance expert Nicholas Sparks, with a book planned.
