When the Los Angeles Lakers decided to draft rookie guard Bronny James in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, they invited all sorts of criticism toward them. Los Angeles drafted James because they believed he could help the team out down the line but many were critical of the decision.

Bronny James is getting more special treatment from the Lakers. LeBron’s eldest son, whom the Lakers took late in the second round of this year’s NBA draft, will only be playing in G League home games and won’t be getting on commercial flights for the South Bay Lakers’ road contests,

Former NBA player Brian Scalabrine echoed similar thoughts on his SiriusXM NBA radio show with Frank Isola, saying competing against older players and traveling to games instead of living the first-class life of an NBA player would toughen James up and reveal his “inner dog.”
