Officers found firearms, drugs, a stolen vehicle and spent shell casings, among other items during searches of a hangout and nearby home.

The Amarillo Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday night in 500 block of Jason in Amarillo. APD said officers were called to the 500 block of Jason Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Sept. 17 for a report of a person being shot.
