Frozen meals can be a major convenience. However, that's not the case with products recently recalled by two major food brands. Sadly, they pose a choking risk.

Four types of frozen food meals have been recalled “due to the potential presence of wood-like material,” Nestle USA announced on Monday.

The recalled frozen meals were sold nationwide at many grocery stores. Both Stouffer’s and Lean Cuisine are popular brands, so it’s likely that some of the grocery stores you shop at sold the recalled meals. They were distributed to grocery stores between September 2024 and March 2025.

A pet food company has recalled one lot of its raw chicken pet food after it was linked to bird flu infections detected in two cats and suspected in a third in New York City.

El Cajon-based Savage Pet Food is recalling boxes of raw chicken food that possibly contain the “ highly pathogenic” H5N1, also known as the bird flu virus. The company on March 15 said it was pulling 66 large chicken boxes (84 ounces each) and 74 small chicken boxes (21 ounces each) with the lot code/best by date of 11152026.
