NASA Astronauts Return in SpaceX Capsule, Splashing Down on Earth After 9 Months
On Tuesday, two NASA astronauts who had been in orbit since June, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, splashed down in calm, azure waters off the coast of the Florida Panhandle, concluding a saga that had captivated the country since last summer.

The two, along with fellow NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, splashed down in the Atlantic off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, at 3:57 MDT Tuesday. NASA moved the return flight up a day to bring the crew back ahead of an anticipated weather system headed for the Florida coast.
