Four new astronauts arrived at the International Space Station aboard SpaceX's Crew Dragon on Sunday. Their arrival finally provides a way home for two NASA astronauts who have been on the ISS since June 2024.

Reaching orbit from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, the newest crew includes NASA’s Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, both military pilots; and Japan’s Takuya Onishi and Russia’s Kirill Peskov, both former airline pilots. They will spend the next six months at the space station, considered the normal stint, after springing Wilmore and Williams free.

SpaceX Crew-10 successfully docked the Dragon spacecraft on the International Space Station early Sunday to begin its rescue mission of Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams. This comes nine months after the two NASA astronauts became stranded on a mission that was meant to last about a week.
