An Auditor-General’s report lists a litany of expensive mistakes leading to the failed attempt to install a lifesaving proton therapy unit for cancer patients at SAHMRI.

The auditor’s report showed that in October 2024, SAHMRI terminated its purchase agreement with ProTom International, the supplier of the proton therapy equipment.
