The biggest announcement from last week’s Nintendo Direct is not what you might think, but it could have a big influence on the Switch 2.

With the Switch 2 being a Nintendo console, we expect plenty of the usual suspects to hit the platform. A new Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart and the rest of the staples will surely come to the console at some point (not all will be launch games, but over the console's lifetime, we'll see them at least once).

The Nintendo Direct March 2025 event is underway, and a number of new Nintendo Switch games are being revealed. Well, it's officially happening – a new Nintendo Direct kicks off
