The Avengers have been scattered ever since the Multiverse Saga began, pretty much all going their separate ways after the Battle of Earth against Thanos (Josh Brolin), and it seems as though not many are returning to fight Doom. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is one of only three official Avengers confirmed to appear so far.

Not all of the Avengers in Doomsday were revealed in the cast announcement. Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) will be working with Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Wong (Benedict Wong) to bring back Monica. Similarly, Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) will be trying to find young heroes while also trying to use her bangle to bring Monica back home.

SDCC 2024 announced that the Russo brothers will be directing both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The two are Marvel legends, since they helmed Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, so it's welcomed news to see their return.

As the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor is one of the strongest Avengers. Wielding Mjolnir and later Stormbreaker, he can summon lightening, control storms, and fly at incredible speeds.
