Many think the beef between Chicago Bulls forward Scottie Pippen and New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing ended in 1994. It actually continued two seasons later. They were first linked when Pippen stood over Ewing after a thunderous dunk but it continued to the `96 after their next playoffs encounter.

Jalen Brunson, who suffered a severe ankle sprain last week, left the team for the rest of the road trip to continue his recovery. The Knicks play three more games on the trip — at Sacramento, Portland and Golden State. The Knicks said they’ll provide an update on the injury around March 21.
