A gray haze from wildfire smoke could be seen in Cincinnati, and the entire state of Minnesota is under an air quality alert.

As of Monday, some of the smoke had moved off the Eastern Seaboard, but a high-pressure system circulated it back into the U.S. and across the Southern states.

Dozens of wildfires remained active Sunday and diminished air quality in parts of Canada and the U.S., according to officials.
