Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo weren’t just in sync on the Wicked set— but prior to filming as well. The actresses revealed in an interview with Variety published on Thursday, Jan. 2, that after being hired as the two leads of the film, they worked together to ensure that both of their needs were met on the set.

The emotional press tour for Wicked continues on to awards season as the film hits its digital release.
