In a conference call Monday, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said U.S. sports have not been a major driver for HBO Max subscriptions. Zaslav said it will be up to Gunnar Wiedenfels and his team to decide where to license TNT Sports rights in the future.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced Monday it will separate into two publicly traded companies by sometime next year.

Zaslav and Gunnar Weidenfels detail the blockbuster unbundling of WBD: Decision "reflects our belief that each company will go further and faster apart than they can together."
