Sabu revolutionized hardcore wrestling in ECW throughout the 1990s and was involved in a number of classic matches with the likes of Taz, Mick Foley and Rob Van Dam. A former ECW Tag Team champion, ECW World Television champion and ECW World Heavyweight champion, he is widely regarded as one of the most decorated competitors in company history.

WWE paid tribute to Sabu during "WWE Raw" following his passing over the weekend, with Michael Cole giving a nod to his contemporary in AEW.
