Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman's wife shared an update after a shooting injured the couple at their home early Saturday morning. The family also shared a statement after the suspect was taken into custody.

Vance Luther Boelter, 57, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing a Minnesota Democratic state lawmaker and her husband while posing as a police officer, Governor Tim Walz said.

State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were gunned down at their home early on Saturday morning, but survived. Melissa Hortman - the top Democratic legislator in the state House - and her husband, Mark, were shot and killed.
