Hot and humid weather will scorch Central Florida for several days and the National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a heat advisory for the region beginning Saturday.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory at 2:23 p.m. on Saturday valid from Monday 11 a.m. until Tuesday 8 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.

At 12:01 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Pickens,

A Heat Advisory remains in effect with heat indices ranging from 100 to 110 degrees, and temperatures are expected to continue to rise until a cold front brings a cooldown on Wednesday night.

Tonight: Isolated to scattered storms move through from northwest to southeast into the evening with a few downpours, lightning and isolated strong winds. Not everyone will see rain. Any intense storms should wane by 9 or 10 p.m. even if a few spots still see a shower overnight. Lows hover around 72 to 78. Confidence: Medium-High

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are coming through Indianapolis, amid a heat advisory. Scatter showers will pour throughout central Indiana with rain rates of 1-2 inches per hour in the strongest storms.

A heat advisory will be in effect Friday. While thunderstorms will cool things down for the weekend, the extreme heat will return early next week.

Heat advisory and air quality alert has been issued for the Lower Hudson Valley July 25 as heat index levels are predicted to reach over 105 degrees.
