Katy Perry will be traveling to space with an all-female crew. Singer-songwriter Katy Perry and broadcast journalist and co-host of CBS Mornings Gayle King have signed on for the next Blue Origin space flight.

"CBS Mornings" co-host Gayle King revealed Thursday that she will be among the six passengers on Blue Origin's next history-making mission comprising all women.

Pop star Katy Perry and news anchor Gayle King are among six women who will be heading into space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin flight, along with Bezos’ fiancée and Emmy-winning journalist Lauren Sánchez.

They will be aboard the New Shepard, the centerpiece rocket of Blue Origin’s space tourism business, in a launch this spring.

CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King will be taking part in the next flight of Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos ‘ space company. Per CBS, also on board will be Katy Perry, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen and Kerianne Flynn, as well as Lauren Sánchez, who is engaged to Bezos.

Katy Perry is going to space. The award-winning "E.T." and "Firework" singer will fly on a firework of her own when she joins the first all-female crew to launch on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket later this year.

"The NS-31 mission is historic as it marks the first crewed space mission composed entirely of women since Valentina Tereshkova's solo flight in 1963."
