Indirect impacts such as rough marine conditions and elevated rip current risk will be possible along the east coast for the first half of next week.

A stronger and bigger Hurricane Erin pelted parts of the Caribbean and was forecast to create dangerous surf and rip currents along the U.S. East Coast this week.

Storm-related hazards, including flash flooding and landslides, are expected in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
