The UNC Health and Duke Health systems are partnering together to create North Carolina’s Children’s Health campus.
The hospital campus is the latest addition to Veridia, the more than 1000-acre development off of NC-55 and NC-540 that will also include thousands of homes, new retail, dining and office space and a new Wake Tech Community College campus. In downtown Apex, local business owners are expecting a major impact from the development.

Duke Health and UNC Health announced Tuesday that they are collaborating to develop North Carolina’s first standalone children’s hospital, which will be built in the Triangle area.
Duke Health did not immediately respond to a series of questions. A termination memo from Duke Raleigh Hospital noted he was "terminated not for cause," and his employment would end on June 30, 2024.
