The New York Knicks stunned the NBA when they fired head coach Tom Thibodeau after he led them all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals this season. Now, the Knicks are looking for a new leader, and one name they are reportedly interested in is Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd.

Kidd and Rockets head coach Ime Udoka have both garnered interest from the Knicks, despite currently working for other teams. Stein previously reported that an interview request to the Rockets would “categorically ... be rejected” and that “a similar response would be expected from the Mavericks.”

The Knicks are reportedly interested in tabbing Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd as the successor to Tom Thibodeau’s throne at Madison Square Garden, according to longtime NBA insider Marc Stein and ESPN’s Shams Charania.
