US astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are finally coming home — here are some of the health issues they may experience following their extended space mission.

In June of 2024, astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore arrived at the International Space Station (ISS), aboard Boeing’s experimental Starliner spacecraft. The mission’s goal was to kick the proverbial tires and get Starliner ready to join NASA’s crewed mission rotation.

Tying up hair can be unnecessary when maintaining it is already challenging. In microgravity, washing hair requires a different technique, often using no-rinse shampoo and a towel. Since there is no shower on the ISS, astronauts avoid the need for elaborate hairstyling.
