The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard was named the Naismith Women’s College Basketball Player of the Year on Wednesday, becoming the first Trojan to earn the honor since Lisa Leslie in 1994. Before Leslie, Cheryl Miller was a three-time Naismith Award recipient.

With Yates III and Agbo out, Rashaun Agee led the way for the Trojans. He scored 27 points on an incredible 10-of-12 shooting performance from the field. Saint Thomas and Clark Slajchert both also finished in double figures for USC, scoring 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Agee scores 27 points and Saint Thomas adds 14 points and nine assists in an 89-60 victory in Las Vegas. The Trojans (17-17) will face Villanova in a quarterfinal on Thursday night.
