Weather balloon releases — tracking temperature, pressure and wind speed — have been suspended or reduced in the Midwest and Great Plains.

By the time the storm pushes off the coast early Tuesday, forecasters expect 1 to 2 inches of rain to fall in New Jersey. Areas along the Interstate 95 corridor have a good chance of receiving at least 1.5 inches of flooding, the weather service said in its morning forecast discussion.
