NASA and SpaceX made another attempt on Friday to send a crew up to the International Space Station (ISS) and begin the return of a pair of astronauts.

A SpaceX rocket carrying NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japanese astronaut Takuya Onishi and Russian cosmonaut Kirill Peskov lifted off Kennedy Space Center. This mission will allow astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore to return home from the ISS.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA’s two stuck astronauts headed back to Earth with SpaceX on Tuesday to close out a dramatic marathon mission that began with a bungled Boeing test flight more than nine months ago.
