Ohio State is keeping a traditional spring football game. The school announced Wednesday that it is no longer branding the event on April 12 as a spring showcase. “We heard you, Buckeye Nation,” the announcement read. “The name ‘Spring Showcase’ didn’t capture what this day really means. So we’re calling it what it’s always been.”

Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day reversed course and told reporters last week that the program now plans to hold a traditional 'Spring Game.'

Ohio State is going forward with its spring football game at a time when other schools are doing away with it.
