On Wednesday, the NBA G League announced their award for MVP and Defensive Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season. Their regular season is over as they are currently in both the Eastern and Western Conference Semifinals of the playoffs.

Davison averaged 25.6 points, 7.7 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 45 games with the Maine Celtics as he earned the MVP honor over Salt Lake City Stars center Oscar Tshiebwe and Capital City Go-Go guard Jaylen Nowell. The G League’s head coaches and general managers voted on the MVP Award.

Boston Celtics two-way guard JD Davison has been named the G League Most Valuable Player for the 2024-25 season. He joins Tim Frazier as the only other Maine Celtic to win the award.
