Oregonians who live in the state’s highest-risk wildfire zones will be subject to stricter building codes and requirements.

The Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon State University have released the final versions of Oregon's wildfire hazard maps, aiming to help Oregonians identify wildfire risk in their area.

Oregon homeowners who live in certain high-risk wildfire areas defined by the state must now meet new building and so-called defensible space codes.
