Iran confirmed the deaths of senior officials, including the army chief and the head of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with key figures in its nuclear program.

Israel struck dozens of targets, including nuclear facilities, military sites and private residences, across Iran on Friday, killing a number of senior military commanders in what it called "Operation Rising Lion".

Gen. Mehdi Rabbani was a top-ranking official and served as the deputy commander of operations for the Iranian Armed Forces.
