The Netherlands has named 425,000 people suspected of collaborating with the Nazis during World War Two as part of The Huygens Institute’s “War in Court” project,

People needed more time to commute to their destination last year than they did in 2023. The average travel time has increased. Navigational company TomTom has said that this is due to traffic jams and road works but also due to the lowering of maximum speeds.

Last year saw the fewest burglaries in the Netherlands since this has been tracked. The police registered around 22,300 break-ins of homes in 2024. That is almost 500 less than the year before and the lowest number since the police started tracking the numbers in 2012.

Climate activists from Extinction Rebellion blocked a major road in The Hague in the Netherlands on Saturday. Authorities had banned the protest and police erected screens and fences on the A12 highway to try to stop protesters reaching the road on foot.
