HONOLULU (AP) — Scotty Washington scored 24 points to lead Cal State Northridge to an 83-60 victory over Hawaii on Thursday night. Washington made 9 of 15 shots with three 3-pointers for the Matadors (12-6, 4-3 Big West Conference). Marcus Adams Jr. had 18 points and Keonte Jones added 12 points and 12 rebounds. PJ Fuller II scored 14.
Gytis Nemeiksa scored 19 points as Hawaii beat Cal Poly 68-55 on Sunday. Nemeiksa had nine rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (9-5, 1-2 Big West Conference). Tom Beattie scored 15 points while going 6 of 9 from the field.
The Hawaii Men’s Basketball team took closed out their first conference road trip against Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. Hawaii defeated the Titans 95-86. The ‘Bows had 4 players
Hawaii and UC Riverside will face off in a matchup of Big West opponents. Friday's meeting is the first this season between the teams.
Finally in the win column in Big West play, the Hawaii women’s basketball team will return home to hopefully get healthy.
Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and former Waimanalo resident Tetiaroa McMillan will serve as honorary team captains at the 2025 Polynesian Bowl on Jan. 17 at Kunuiakea Stadium.
