The Angels finally broke through and scored the only run of the game in the 11th when ghost runner Christian Moore scored on a one-out bloop hit to left off Yankees reliever Jonathan Loaisiga, who was in for his second inning.

Prior to Monday night's series opener against the Angels at Yankee Stadium, the slugging right-handed designated hitter was activated off the injured list due to what amounted to severe tennis elbow in both elbows. To make room, the Yankees designated utilityman Pablo Reyes for assignment.
