A Ferndale man who was working at a East Smith Road construction site near Noon Road has died after being struck by a vehicle around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Brandon W. Gipson, 42, of Ferndale, was struck by a dump truck that was in use at the construction site, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding told The Herald.
