The York County Coroner's Office has released the results of the autopsy for slain West York Police Officer Andrew Duarte.

Their son, West York Borough Police Officer Andrew Duarte, responded to an active shooting at UPMC Memorial Hospital, where a man had taken the staff of the ICU hostage. Five people — a doctor, a nurse, a custodian and two officers, suffered injuries. Duarte was mortally wounded.

West York Borough Police Chief Matthew Millsaps paid tribute to Officer Andrew Duarte, who was killed in the line of duty on Saturday while responding to a gunman at UPMC Memorial Hospital in West Manchester Township.
