Kai-Ji Adam Lo was charged with multiple counts of murder on allegations he killed 11 people when he rammed into a crowd of people at a Filipino heritage festival in Vancouver.

A driver plowed a car into a crowd at a street festival celebrating Filipino heritage in Vancouver on Saturday night, killing at least 11 people and injuring dozens more in what police are calling “the darkest day” in the city’s history.

Police say 11 people aged five to 65 were killed and more than two dozen injured when a man drove an SUV into a crowd of festival-goers.
