Opener Gongadi Trisha of India became the first person in the history of the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup to hit a century. Her 59-ball unbeaten 110 in the process helped the defending champions trounce Scotland in their Group 1 Super Six game in Kuala Lumpur.

India opening batter Trisha Gongadi scripted history in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup as she became the first player to smash a century in the tournament.

Rama Rao applauded Trisha for bringing pride to both Telangana and India, describing her achievement as "absolutely fantastic."
