Flight operations at Srinagar airport disrupted by dense fog, causing delays and rescheduling of morning flights on January 4, 2025.

Dense fog continued to disrupt flight operations at Srinagar airport on Saturday, officials reported. A thick blanket of fog enveloped the Kashmir valley, including Srinagar, reducing visibility and delaying all morning flights,

Srinagar recorded about eight inches of snow while neighbouring Ganderbal recorded about seven inches. Sonamarg, a famous tourist destination, recorded around eight inches of snow. As many as 80 flights were cancelled.

Departures from Chandigarh, including flight AI2638 to New Delhi and Indigo’s 6E146 to Lucknow, were delayed due to poor visibility in the morning.
