San Diego FC has announced it will use pre-match and in-stadium messaging, enhanced security measures and strong enforcement of policies to discourage fans from engaging in what it called discriminatory chants at home matches.

San Diego FC will have increased security at Saturday’s home match after a homophobic slur was chanted during the club’s Snapdragon Stadium opener earlier this month.

San Diego FC has announced additional steps to limit discriminatory behavior by fans, including anti-discriminatory messaging, extra security, and enforcement of sanctions.
