Roope Hintz, the Stars’ top-line center, suffered a leg injury in Game 2 after a slash from Oilers forward Darnell Nurse.

DALLAS -- Roope Hintz left with an injury early in the third period, and the Dallas Stars center did not return in their 3-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final at American Airlines Center on Friday.

The Dallas Stars were shorthanded in a big way Sunday afternoon when they visited the Edmonton Oilers for Game 3 of the Western Conference Final. Despite taking warmups, Roope Hintz was held out of the Stars’ lineup for the game.
