RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Officials with the Reno Tahoe International Airport say they are expecting a busy Memorial Day weekend. They say that this Friday and Monday, May 26 are projected to be the busiest days, as an estimated 16,000 passengers are expected each day. That would surpass last year’s numbers.
If you want to avoid bumper-to-bumper traffic, the experts recommend leaving early: before noon on Thursday, May 22 and Saturday, May 24, and before 11am on Friday, May 23. When you're heading home, aim to be on the road before 1pm Sunday or 2pm Monday.
